Community & fair play

Scorch · Updated 19 September 2026

Scorch connects people through movement. These rules apply to profiles, groups, invitations, photos, videos, retained earlier coach information and any other content or interaction you choose to share through Scorch. They supplement the terms of use. In the current preview, Moments are stored on your device and can be shared using your phone’s sharing options; there is no hosted public Moments video feed.

People before rankings

Share with permission

Upload only content you own or have permission to use. Get permission before sharing identifiable people, especially in a gym or private space. Follow venue rules. Never record in changing rooms, toilets or other places where people expect privacy. Keep children and bystanders out of content unless you have the necessary permission and a lawful reason to share it.

Check routes, timestamps and visible backgrounds before sharing: a map or photo can reveal your home, workplace or routine. A Scorch map privacy zone does not automatically remove information from a photo, video, GPX export or another social platform.

Compete honestly and safely

Use the activity mode you are actually doing. Do not spoof GPS, record motorised travel as a run or ride, forge proof, exploit bugs or use multiple accounts to manipulate competition. Imported GPX files are for training history, not territory claims.

GPS and sensors can be wrong. A review flag or withheld claim is not by itself an accusation of cheating. If a result seems wrong, send the activity date, reference and displayed reason to support. Do not chase a ranking by speeding, trespassing, lifting beyond your ability or ignoring road and venue rules.

Gym clans and consistency

Gym clans are available in the limited test preview while public launch testing continues. Their names and approximate venue pins are community-supplied. Do not impersonate a gym, claim an affiliation you do not have or use a private home as a public gym pin. A nearby result is not permission to enter a venue.

Optional consistency totals come from eligible, self-reported indoor sessions, with at most one point per person per UTC day across clans. They are not verified check-ins, proof of attendance or video-verified lifts. Do not invent sessions or alter timestamps to influence a total. Keep private workout details and other people's whereabouts private. No one needs to share a workout photo, video or heavier lift to support their team. Use Report or Block where available for a false venue or abusive clan.

Honest descriptions and earlier coach information

Describe experience and affiliations honestly, including any sponsored recommendation. Do not promise medical cures or guaranteed performance. Coach discovery, profiles, enrollment and connection requests have been removed from the current app interface. Earlier coach records are not automatically deleted by that change; the Privacy Policy explains retention and removal requests. An earlier Scorch listing did not certify professional status or create a purchase.

Report a problem

Use Report or Block where available in the app, or email razanians313@gmail.com. An email report works without a Scorch account. Include:

Do not attach illegal material, especially sexual images of children. Describe and identify where it can be found instead. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. This page is not a live emergency channel.

Review and outcomes

A report is a request for review, not an automatic finding against someone. Depending on the evidence and seriousness, Scorch may restrict or remove content, withhold a result, suspend an account or take other proportionate action. Where a decision affects your content or account, you can request the reason and a review through support. Some information may need to be withheld to protect another person or comply with the law.

Ask for a review of a decision and include its reference, why you disagree and any relevant evidence. Do not retaliate against reporters. Nothing here removes any complaint, court or other remedy available under applicable law.
